My Design Philosophy
My Design Philosophy
Interior Design changes the way we see and experience our spaces. Having well designed spaces can completely change the way we feel. So far in my education in design, spaces have many purposes. Some spaces can be good while others can create a bad experience. Everyone has a design philosophy whether they know it or not. Design philosophy can change what people gravitate towards in a space or when designing a space. Some people just care about the function of the space while some people care about the form and aesthetic. Others like it simple and minimalistic.

I think spaces should be fun and functional. I think if people let loose and have fun in a space everything else will fall into place. Going to a space you love can make you appreciate the space even more. Spaces should be designed to be enjoyable and exciting while serving the main goal. One day I would love to design for cruise ships to create fun spaces for anyone to enjoy.
I hope one day to create spaces that have the wow factor while also being functional.
- Creating spaces with the purpose to aim for wow can be anything from creating interesting furniture designs to adding colors that many people wouldn't consider.
- It means adding interesting forms and shapes.
- Adding fun shapes can also create an optical illusions space that will create the wow factor.
- Changing the space of rooms can create the

Although wow spaces are not for everyone, I personally love them for helping to make people happy and have the best possible experience. I want to create the best experience for people that I can while creating functional spaces for them. Being in fun spaces sparks creativity and inspires me to be the best I can be, which is what I want for everyone.

From what I've read, I think we share a very similar design philosophy. I think it is important for a space to be fun and bold. I think that it is cool how you can use what you believe to be interesting in design and find it in a space you love so much. I like how you acknowledge how it might not be for everyone, but that you like these spaces because of how they make people feel. What kind of spaces do you want to design?
ReplyDeleteHey Cheyenne! I think your design philosophy definitely fits your personality. Being in a visually stimulating environment can do wonders for positively impacting someone's experience in a space. I think you did a great job explaining your preferences and what you would like to do with them. Sometimes, the wow factor is what people need to keep them invested, and they need that visual stimulation to keep their eyes moving around the space. Great post!
ReplyDeleteI love your view on the wow factor. I love walking into a space and seeing the detail and attention someone put in to create a beautiful space. I think it's so cool you want to design cruise ships, that is such a perfect example of the wow factor. I also like how you mention that you want the space to functional as well as exciting, that is something that is very important to me.
ReplyDeleteCheyenne, I loved your view on things, and I agree with other comments that it suits your personality. I like to also see how you push yourself in class. When I walk into a space, I like to see the awe of the whole picture, and things that are different to start with definitely catch my attention.
ReplyDeleteChey, I loved your post. and I think we have a similar design philosophy. I totally agree with you that a space should have function and beauty. I loved the point you made about some spaces being wow and how that can spark creativity.
